Sport Fishing Costa
Rica For those looking
to experience some of the world's finest sportfishing, we'll
gladly help you get "hooked" up with the right people!
Costa Rica has been called the billfish capital of the world and
it is known for its large numbers of yellow fin tuna, snapper,
roosterfish, dorado or mahi-mahi, wahoo and sailfish. Whether we
set you up with a customized trip on a professionally outfitted
boat or you go native with one of our local fishermen, you will
not leave without having a great fishing experience.
Panga Fishing
Panga fishing in
the area can run from 240 dollars per day, with a maximum of 3
people per boat. While there are professional operations available
in the area, some times it is interesting to “go local” and
hop on a boat to fish with some local “ticos.” Our staff can
arrange both types of these tours.

Inshore fishing in
Costa Rica can be just as exciting off shore. Local fish
include mackerel, rooster fish, amber jack, dog tooth snapper and the occasional tasty
snook.
Occasionally, near shore fisherman get a shot at tuna
and dorado (mahi mahi)
Deep
Sea Fishing
The Northern
Pacific Coast of Costa Rica is among the best sport fishing spots
in the world. The waters up here are filled with billfish --
marlin and sailfish
-- and dorado (mahi mahi), wahoo,
and tuna.
Charters can run from 700 - 900 dollars per day for a maximum of
four people. Again, contact us as soon as possible to book
the charters in advance. While the fishing is great year
round, July and August have been particularly strong months
as the billfish migrate from the south end of the peninsula.
